Coldframes

The simplest form of greenhouse is known as a cold frame. Though it is considered simple in construction, the advantages of a cold frame can be seen by both the novice and experienced gardener. A cold frame uses no artificial heat source, but depends solely on the sun filtering through its cover for heat. A cold frame greenhouse is not only inexpensive but also proves to be a great supplemental growing space for big projects. During warmer days it may be necessary to open or "vent" and/or provide shading for your cold frame to protect your plants from overheating. A cold frame greenhouse is a great starter or addition for greenhouse gardeners everywhere.
